The EcoBoost® engine lineup finds the perfect platform in the EcoSport, the base engine is a turbocharged 1.0-liter with a nice bit of punch and excellent fuel efficiency. The C-HR's has a slight advantage in power over the EcoSport's base trim, but if you need some extra speed then there is an available engine that is much stronger than anything the CH-R has to offer.

Technology and Features

Interior

The interior of the EcoSport is well designed and features some smooth, modern cloth work and a powerful media system with an available upgrade. The C-HR's interior features a little too much plastic for some people, and it does not offer a smart-device compatible media system at any trim level, so if Apple CarPlay or Android Auto are a must, then get the available SYNC® 3 on the EcoSport.

Safety

Both vehicles have excellent safety features, and the CH-R performs well especially in standard safety features. However with a few upgrades, the EcoSport offers everything the CH-R does and more. Both vehicles feature powerful air bag systems as well, overall we think that both vehicles have a solid showing when it comes to safety technology.
