Power and Performance

The EcoSport performs very well against the CX-3 with its exciting lineup of EcoSport® engines. These turbocharged, direct-injection engines allow the EcoSport to distinguish itself from the CX-3, which does not offer a turbocharged engine. Although the CX-3 has a slight edge with power at the base engine level, the EcoSport offers a more powerful engine that surpasses the CX-3 easily.

The available Intelligent 4WD helps elevate the EcoSport's drive, giving you more traction and control on tough road conditions. The CX-3 also has an all-wheel drive option, but the EcoSport's is partnered with the 2.0-liter Ti-VCT engine that overpowers the Mazda's and makes for a safer, more powerful drive.

Technology and Features

Both vehicles are well-equipped, but let's see if there's an advantage when we compare some specific features. In terms of safety, the base models match up similarly, but the EcoSport does have an Emergency Brake Assist System not offered by the Mazda. At higher levels, the EcoSport offers the Post-Crash Alert System that calls for help in the event of an accident. Ultimately, the EcoSport seems to win on safety.
