The 2020 Ford Explorer is Coming

The next decade is upon us, and that means Ford is gearing up to ensure that its new lineup of vehicles feel truly next-generation. The 2020 Ford Explorer is shaping up to be just that thanks to a complete redesign that is timed just right and a lineup that is as stacked as ever. Expect the 2020 Ford Explorer to be more powerful, more efficient, and smarter than it has ever been.

A major focus with the 2020 Ford Explorer has been the redesign of its rear-wheel-drive architecture which has been overhauled to focus on athleticism. Its body is both lighter and leaner, which results in an improved towing capacity by a whopping 600 pounds. For comparison's sake, the high level 2019 Ford Explorer Platinum had a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds, so 2020 Explorer drivers will enjoy a nice twelve percent boost.

Ford Co-Pilot360 returns with the latest updates to a robust suite of driver-assist features such as Reverse Brake Assist and Active Park Assist 2.0. A new 10.1-inch touchscreen rests in the center of the dashboard and serves as the hub of the 2020 Explorer's entire technological offerings.

The 2020 Ford Explorer is due to arrive at Moffit's Ford Lincoln in Summer 2019.
